Korean Grand Prix

Hello. We plan to watch the Korean Grand Prix next month.

Would anyone know how to get to the track using public transport?

And, what are the options for accomodation available?

I really don't want to stay in Seoul because from what I've read, it really isn't near the track.

A 'jimjiban' is also not an oprtion for I am travelling with a child.

Any leads? Thanks in advance!

Re: Korean Grand Prix

You can also fly into Mokpo. There is a small airport just north of the city. Mokpo has a number of motels

and a few smaller non-name hotels but I would hurry up and book if you can. I was there a few weeks ago

and there were no rooms to be had because of summer tourists. I would imagine for the F1 race it would

be much the same. Good luck.

Re: Korean Grand Prix

Best way to get there would be by train or bus from Busan and go to Mopko after that refer to the official site here that gives you all the details. There is apparerently a shuttle bus from Mokpo station.

Don't know what your Korean is like, but also on the site is an accommodation list from the expensive to the cheap(ish?).

If you're still having trouble sorting things out by yourself, you could try the Tourism Hotline. I've always had excellent service from them for everything.

From a landline in Korea just dial 1330 or from a cell dial the area code and 1330, so from Busan dial 051-1330.

They can tell you about transportation and accommodation and I'm pretty sure they'd help you book both if you need help with that.

If for some reason they're no help (very unlikely) you could try the Seoul Global Center as well at: 02-2075-4130
