6-9 mon to fri for 20 an hour. 1.2 mil a month. gee, 6 hours a days is ft and you get housing, bonus, airfare, pension and so on. here you get half the ft pay and that is it? what a joke. and they actually put their school info up there. unreal. perfect target for immigration as no one will work for that illegally. be careful everyone. just a word to the wise. terrible job!!! got to be at least 30 an hour or 90 a day. AT LEAST!

Does Hagwon need transcripts for part time work?

I have an F-2 visa. I do 3 hours of part time work at a hagwon. I gave them a copy of my diploma. They say that city people want my transcripts. I'm reluctant to needlessly hand out my personal info. I've never had anyone else ask me for this college info when doing part time work.

Does anyone know if this is a legal requirement. My visa is not connected with my job, so immigration is not an issue.

B.S! fired-withholding months pay+

This cant be legal. absolutely ridiculous.

i was fired a month ago and today being my last day. i received this letter from a recruitor. 'C' her partner(K) is another recruitor. He also didnt pay me for last month. He paid me 193,000won a month and 'T' paid 2.1mill. So strange eh? I placed the details in bold.

I worked there for five months and they say they will withhold my whole months pay not to omention 200,000won from last month.

Jobs Without a Degree

I'm curious about the availability of LEGAL jobs without a University degree.

My little brother is in a bit of a 'weird' spot in life, so I've been trying to get him to move to Korea and stay with me for some time.

Supporting him on my own would be a bit difficult, and HIGHLY boring for him. So, I'm looking for any work possibilities he might be able to pursue.

What is going on here people? Jobs on line now are over 40 hours per week for 2.2million WON. Here are some general tips:

You should not be at your school for more than 30 hours a week. This is the standard. School wanting you there from 9-6 should be paying you more. The jobs posted today are sick!

Recruiters

What is with the recruiters these days? They keep emailing me and posting the worst jobs. Recruiters, people with F2 visas do not work for 20 an hour or jobs that are 330 to 1030, monday to friday for 2.3mil. Especially TOEFL classes. Are you kidding me?

Any summer camp for English speaking kids?

We are staying in Busan during summer. Our 2 boys will be out of school soon.We've tried to find a good summer camp in Korea but there are none for our boys who only speak English.

Does anyone have an idea or know of a good camp for them ? They are 5th and 2nd graders and will finish school in early June.
