For the next few weeks we’ll be taking a break from discussing the news and we’ll be focusing on what draws all of us to Kpop, (I hope) the music. We wanted to take a look at some of the premiere vocalists among the idol groups and comment on who we think are the strongest.  Oh yeah and this episode features Arnold of McRoth’s Residence.

The thought came to me a couple weeks ago to look as best as we could at the raw, unedited versions of our favorite idol’s voices. The only way I could think of to examine these were to look at radio performances, since they are as live as possible. Most of what we have here are clips from low quality streaming video, so not everything is perfect but you can see what we’re trying to do. We’re going for a kind of American Idol feel, so think of it as not everyone having their best day, but prepare to be wowed. The top 8 from our field of 15 move on.

If your favorite singer is missing, it may be because a)we forgot about them, b)they’re a member of the special group that gets an exemption from the first round [Hall of Fame] or c)they’re not considered idols.
