The World Pays respect to Lee Kuan Yew World leaders and Singaporeans gathered to pay their final respects to the nation’s first Prime minister, Lee Kuan Yew. It was an emotional week, as Lee lay in state. Judging by the words spoken at his funeral, it’s easy to see why. Japan Prepares New Sanctions Against North Korea I mentioned last year, that I believed that Japan pursuing dialog with North Korea over the fate of abductees was pointless. That nothing would come of it, and while I understood the importance of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe wanting to obtain concrete answers, I also knew they wouldn’t be given. Now it appears Japan has finally given up waiting. China Aviation Safety Plan Sound Last week, the tragic murder of Germanwings Flight 4U 9525 passengers by the co pilot highlighted a very serious lapse in aviation safety.
