Terms of Use
  • As part of Worldbridges, Koreabridge aims to foster a community where views and ideas can be exchanged openly, fairly, and civilly.  Moderation is not a perfect science, but we do our best to make this site safe, useful, and interesting for those who visit. To that end, users are not permitted to post content that is hateful, obscene, slanderous, violent, abusive, trolling, baiting, insulting to an individual or group, threatening or harassing or that contain personal attacks, racial slurs, personal information about others, or encourage activities that are illegal in Korea.  Intention matters.  Posts that are mean-spirited or unnecessarily antagonizing will be removed. Do not post grammar or spelling corrections of users' posts, unless the user has explicitly asked for that kind of feedback.

  • Posts or comments that are spam-like* or for products and commercial endeavors not specifically related to to Korea will  be deleted and users that post them will lose their posting privileges.
( * examples of  'spam-like' posts include ads for pharmaceutical products, get rich quick schemes, 'home typists' , SEO services, and/or posts that are specifically designed to optimize traffic to other sites rather than genuinely contribute to a discussion here. )
  • The above rules also apply to PMs (private messages). If you receive a PM that violates the above policies, notify the moderators (mods@koreabridge.net) and we will take appropriate action. Also, PMs are considered to be just that: Private Messages. Don't post their content online.

  • When users first register, their posts are moderated.  Once we see that they are not posting spam or inappropriate content, they will be granted 'trusted user' status and their posts will no longer be moderated. If inappropriate content is posted thereafter, either they will lose trusted user status and their posts will be moderated again or their posting permissions will be disabled entirely.

  • Because of legal concerns and potential managerial headaches, The Koreabridge Network does not provide blacklist services. We are currently experimenting with allowing comments on job ads. A list of  Blacklists and other employment resource can be found in our FAQ section: What should I know about working in Korea?

  • We do not currently accept Personal Ads.   We will be discussing whether to accept some types of personals in the future, but for  now figuring out where to draw the line is too big of a hassle.  Learning exchange ads are still accepted.

  • Publishers must have the legal rights to whatever they publish. Posting of text, photos, videos or any other content  that violates intellectual property rights is prohibited. When referring to an online posting else, please refrain from cutting and pasting full articles. Providing a teaser (no more than a few sentences) is acceptable, but must properly cite the source and we would prefer if you would simply provide a link.

. Please post content in the appropriate section.  For details about where to post content, see our posting guide.
