The buzz is that “UTV has bought the rights of blockbuster South Korean film My Girlfriend Is An Agent, with Imtiaz Ali and wife Preety on board”

Imtiaz Ali, the man behind the successful hindi movie – Jab we met – will don the hat of creative producer whereas his wife Preety Ali would co produce the movie. Choreographer Bosco of the famous Bosco-Caesar duo will direct the project.

The South Korea movie, My Girlfriend Is An Agent had set box office records in South Korea as it opened at number one at the box office and stayed in the top 10 for nine consecutive weeks. The story is about a Korean Mr & Mrs Smith but with a twist. Here they have been assigned the mission to stop a Russian crime group from stealing an advanced chemical weapon. Mr Korean Smith is a rookie where as Ms Korean Smith is a sexy secret agent. They were once deeply in love but neither is aware of the other’s real job.

Imtiaz Ali says, “It is very exciting. It seems like full on fun – both the film and the making. A crazy, high energy, no-holds-barred rollercoaster ride with a highly huggable hero and a hyper heroine. Most exciting for me is that Bosco is directing the film. I don’t think many people know how to put fun on screen like Bosco. And I’m there to add to the chaos!”

Now, the only thing that will keep bollywood fans wondering would be – who would they cast? Who is going to be the Indian Mr Smith and the Indian Ms Smith.
