This past weekend has been pretty busy too, but I’ve taken a lot of pictures don’t worry! First, we traveled by bus, about five hours, to the Jindo Sea Parting Festival. Here we go again:
Someone loves stuffed animals.
They sell coconuts here!
View of the sea before its parting
More ocean views
People began to gather on the steps to the sea path
More sea shots. I can’t help it, too beautiful!
The statue of the myth behind the sea parting, a grandmother prayed for her family to visit her on an island, and the gods answered. The sea parted! Also look at this guy’s hat, “Baby Girl” haha.
Soon this sea will part!
Some festival festivities
Was that rock visible ten minutes ago?
Another festival performance!
There was also a puppy petting place. So cute! But also smelly. Is it possible for puppies to get too much attention?
Seaside painting!
I left my mark.
Some awesome hats.
They had booths from other counties! Hello Ecuador, very cool dances.
Sea shots again
People venturing out to the island, the sea begins to really part!
Some people looking for clams on the shore, and some boats in the distance.
More festival parades

some sea creature catchers revealed after parting sea
There’s a crab in this beautiful shell!
People used some metal picks to sift through the sand and find clams and crabs
Here’s one!
I think the tide may be coming back in, retreat!

a bun with something in it? maybe green tea paste? It was pretty good.
That was the Jindo Parting of the Sea Festival, the next day we bused it to the Boseong tea fields!
This is a last view from where we stayed the night in Mokpo, another fishing town.
some flowers by the entrance to the tea fields!

The tea fields were just so calming and gorgeous. Even better though, was the green tea ice cream they sold there. Fantastic! I had three. Couldn’t resist. I also picked up some green tea cookies and some matcha green tea mix.
It was overall a fantastic travelling weekend. Hope you all enjoyed the pictures! I miss you!
너무 보고 싶었어요.
