Student Profile #3: Owen

It's Student Profile Time-aka let's talk about my kiddos.

I only managed to do two student profiles on two very special kids at DaeGyo, but with only five kids in my Kindergarten class and five in my afternoon class of 2nd graders it won't be hard to cover all my kids, if not  almost all of the kiddos at school.

First up is my little Kindergarten space cadet: Owen.  Owen is probably my sweetest boy and just such a cutie.  All of my kids have outstanding English, and they all have strengths in different areas- Owen is a great speller and a connoisseur of Jollaman.

What is Jollaman you ask? I don't exactly know either.  I know he's in a Korean cartoon and also in a computer game (I think).  He's a stick figure who fights bad guys.  This is the website I found that gives a little description about a very major member of my classroom.

Owen wanted to see my camera so I snapped this little gem of him.
Owen can by shy at times, but man get him talking about Jollaman or Zombies or ghosts and he'll light up and talk your ear off.  There are times I catch him just being so freaking cute that I want to take him home, and there are other times where he is obviously far away in his own little world.

He's curious, but not needy.  A little more reserved than the rest of my "Me Too" monsters.  And one of the best things is- he's quiet!  Did I mention how I love it when they're quiet? It almost never happens, but it's one of the best things ever.
Owen is just a darling little boy, he loves animals and draws Jollaman in almost every picture in every one of his text books to keep the characters in the story company.  He wants things to be fair, but doesn't whine. He's just an awesome, dreamy, spacey, cute, funny, special little boy and I hope that doesn't change.  Owen's just happy being Owen- and I love him for it.
