From sewing needle and sewing thread to creation and art

At first sight you would think that you don’t need to be a fashion college graduate or have any fashion design experience to know how to dress, taking in consideration that the internet is full of useful advice. Following the same idea, some might think it’s not very hard to become a fashion designer. But a true designer can make a difference between wearing something and wearing some “IT”. A classy design that catches the eye not through extravagance, but through art combined with talent.

The last mentioned are the attributes that form the base for Cristina Ducu’s idea of giving birth to the clothing fashion design project-Annie Mozel Design. The concept that has and will have her signature are revealed even from the beginning through the cherry blossoms, symbol of rebirth in South Korea, and that are concretely transposed into her designs.

With exotic flavors, desire for perfection and an endless creative imagination, Cristina Ducu brings purity (순수) and the tenderness of the cherry blossoms in every sewing of her clothes.

As a gratitude gesture for her mother, who gave her this gift, she dedicated this project to her. The idea with the cherry blossoms came from a historical Korean drama. The main character is Iljimae, who even since he was a kid said he liked the cherry blossoms because they are “glamorous”.

With trust and optimism, Annie Mozel Design wants to perfumate the fascinating world of fashion, by launching three clothing lines: “K-Queenlike”, “Modern Hanbok”, “Eternity Hanbok”.

The sketches, materials and accessories, the clothing details, they’ve all been perfectly monitored, arranged and transposed in appreciations and encouragements from her loved ones, as well as from the person that she took this talent from, and from all the people that were touched by her boldness of bringing something new in the fashion world in her country.

With a boundless love for exotic and east art, and a big accent for South Korea, Cristina Ducu adopted this clothing style called “Hanbok” specific for Korean traditions.

In the collection “Modern Hanbok” I made a bridge between traditional and modern, mixing the beauty of the Hanbok with it’s elegance through an abundance of material.

Annie Mozel Design wishes to break the ice, to come out of the anonymity with good ideas that come as a fruit of a born talent combined with a correct guidance and starts her journey on an accessible road for many, but only with a destination for those who can make the difference!
