Random pictures, part 49 – the ‘not necessarily about Korea’ edition

If you have any random pictures to contribute, please e-mail them to me at chrisinsouthkorea AT gmail DOT com. They need to have a Korean focus (travel, food, people, culture), and be at least slightly weird. Each picture should be accompanied by a 1-3 sentence description. Contributors receive full credit for their photo(s) and a link to their blog / website.

The penultimate to 50! As always, random pictures are shots that didn’t make it into any other posts. Enjoy!

Screwing around with a macro lens. It’s not perfectly in focus, but throws the background into a wash of color.

The fun part about rain and leaves – another interesting shot from the macro lens.

A little abstract – in reality this is a discarded vase, leaning on a building.

Who needs balloon animals? I’ve got an Android logo made of them. Seriously, how long did this take to make? Seen in Noksapyeong station.

Lady first – the sensitivity pub. Sometimes you want to go where everyone treats you sensitively…? Seen in Hongdae.

It’s devilishly difficult to manual focus with a two pound lens (especially one with a razor-thin depth-of-field), but the cicada is heard long before it’s usually seen. Seen (and heard) everywhere around Korea.
