I had a lot of fun making these. I’ve never made a dress this big before, so I wasn’t entirely sure how big I should make it. I actually didn’t buy enough fabric the first time around, so the dress took longer since I had to wait until the weekend to go to the fabric store. The stores here close wicked early and it can take 45 minutes to even get there by bus and subway.

Luigi’s overalls were also a first for me. I actually learned a lot about pants construction, so I feel more confident about making pants in the future now.

I absolutely love the fabric for Peach’s dress. The pink fabrics actually have a slight shimmer to them. I felt really lucky to find these colors, because they were exactly what I was looking for. I borrowed the hoop skirt from a friend, so I didn’t have to make one thankfully. The crown and necklace were made out of Wonderflex and bits of wood and plastic. I actually had two jumbo rolls of Wonderflex to sent to Korea and the shipping price almost matched the actual cost of the Wonderflex, but it was totally worth it.
