Lately, I’ve been seeing black eggs (aka charcoal eggs) pretty frequently in the market. They’ve always been around but they seem more popular lately. It seems like they’re just hard boiled eggs with charcoal coating. When I asked the lady at the market about them, she said they’re moister than other smoked eggs (which are really popular in Korea, especially in spas and saunas). It’s supposedly a healthy snack, but I still haven’t tried them because the color is off-putting. Has anyone tried them?
