Korean Food USA: Crisp

Korean Food USA is a new series that showcases Korean and Korean-inspired eateries all around the nation.

If you’re one of those foodies who love the Cooking Channel, you may have caught Crisp on Unique Eats a few weeks ago. Crisp, a small and casual Korean restaurant in Chicago, specializes in Korean-inspired fried chicken. Last year, Travel & Leisure even named Crisp as having some of the best fried chicken in America!

The Unique Eats episode on Crisp shed insight into the making of two of their most popular chicken flavors: Sassy Seoul and Crisp BBQ. Sassy Seoul blends garlic, ginger and soy flavors to create a mouth-watering plate of saucy goodness, while Crisp BBQ offers more spice for those who are feeling a bit adventurous. Crisp also offers its massive Buddha Bowls—a play off of traditional bibimbap. But for a healthier option, we recommend getting the Original Bad Boy Buddha so you can switch out your white rice to brown rice.

If you’re ever in Chi-Town, you should definitely check this place out!
