On December 6, Google unveiled it's latest feature in Google+ - Communities. These are similar to Facebook groups, but lighter, simpler, and with a bit more organizational flexibility. They are also integrate nicely with other Google photos, calendar, and Hangouts.  If you haven't tried Hangouts, they're worth a look - free video video conferences of up to 10 people, resouce light, and mobile friendly.  They make Skype seem SO 2011.

In any event, below are some of the Google+ communities that have popped up so far.  While Google+ still doesn't have the critical mass of users that Facebook does, momentum continues to grow.  If you are aware of other communities that should be listed here, please comment below.
