It’s been a while since my last post and I’m a bit...

It’s been a while since my last post and I’m a bit sad that I haven’t been posting consistently. I’m not going to make any excuses because I was just lazy. :(

Actually, I’ve been feeling under the weather for the past 2 months. I’ve never felt this way in Korea before. I’m very thankful that I have family and friends to support me, but it just wasn’t enough. I felt so bad that I even thought about smoking to relieve the stress that I was experiencing. However, I thought about it and then I realized that I was stupid for even taking it into consideration. :p

Instead, I’ve been going to the gym consistently and I’ve been channeling all of the negative energy into my workouts and now I’m seeing positive results. We all have different fitness goals, but for me I want to build muscle and increase strength. All of the stress that I’ve been experiencing for 2 months helped me wake up in the morning and prepare my meals for the day. (I decided to start bringing my own food to school now.) I feel great right now (not really. I have a sore throat right now. :P)  and from the moment I decided to go to the gym consistently I was thinking nothing, but positive thoughts. I started thinking “I can” instead of “I can’t.” Recently, I was able to bench press 90kg for 6 reps. I have never been able to do that before, but I did it! I felt great after that workout and that is when I started feeling more confident in myself.

That said, me and a couple of friends decided to start a fitness group called Fitness Korea (FS) specifically for expats living in South Korea. This group will help motivate and help you achieve your fitness goals. We also have a “Biggest Loser” contest for those looking to lose some weight. It is a closed group because members will post pictures of their progress. If you are interested check out the link below and I hope you this is the start of a new chapter in your life.
