I went to a owl cafe called Tori no Iru Cafe in Kiba, Tokyo, but they have other birds there too. In Japanese, “Tori no Iru Cafe” basically means “The Cafe Where There Are Birds.” The coffee shop is small but has a bunch of cute, owl-themed touches from decorations to food.

There are some rules to follow for your safety. I felt a bit nervous because it’s easy to see how strong and dangerous these birds can be. I was able to pet and hold one on my arm for 5 minutes. Your time with the owls is pretty limited but I prefer to just look rather than touch.
