Jinwoo Shin, when he saw the first free hugs music video ‘All the same’ by Sick Puppies, he got very inspired. It motivated to launch the first Free Hugs campaign in Korea and he chose places like Jongno, Insa Dong, Chongyechoen, Myeongdong in Seoul, which is buzzing with people young and old throughout the day. It was a rather brave attempt by him because in a place like Korea, anyone who acts out of the norm is frowned upon and is laughed at. As you can probably see in the video, a lot of people who laughing at him for, doing something out of the norm.

The Free Hugs in Korea video by Jinwoo Shin is very cute, heartwarming and touching at the same time. It is so nice to see people slowly letting go of their inhibitions and giving a mighty hug to a adorable stranger on the street. The funny part is when the girls want to hug him, but their boyfriends wont allow them to do that. To the extent that they are dragging their gals from hugging him.
