1. favorite art material-  Right now it’s a squeegee and my wacom tablet.

2. places of inspiration {shops, nature, places, etc}-  art blogs, WTF with Marc Maron, and art museums.  Actually, at this point nearly everything around me can be inspiration in one way or another, whether it’s a cracked sidewalk, a beautiful painting, or an ugly building.  It all inspires me in different ways.

3. favorite website-  www.printeresting.com

4.  what provokes you to create art? Provokes?  Good word choice.  I guess the desire to create better work every time.  That and wanting artwork to be in people’s hands, to be in their houses, to be in their life.

You can see his work here,

I encourage you to click on the second artwork! If you are lucky and live in Korea, you have a chance to see this artist live performing with the Korean band Sleepstalker. Jess is performing tomorrow night at Super Sketch in Busan. This artist represents the fine medium of printmaking. Wandering through his website you can easily gather that his art has a message telling you to pay attention to the world around you. Communication is crucial in today’s fast pace society, and this artist wants you to be aware. He comes from the southern part of the United States, and that instantly gives favorable view in my opinion. But regardless of his background, the work displays an excellent sense of design and I am really into the color scheme of the first artwork in this feature. He will have prints for sale, zines, and a few surprises! Make sure and check his work out!
