Dia Frampton, 2nd Place on NBC’s ‘The Voice’

Last night, millions of Americans watched as Javier Colon beat out Dia Frampton to become the first winner of NBC’s The Voice. The voting was extremely close, however, as host Carson Daly revealed that Javier and Dia were within only 2% of each other. Carson also shared that Dia had hit #1 in iTunes downloads after her performance of her original song “Inventing Shadows.”

During the results show, Blake Shelton really showed his personal attachment to Dia by having her perform a duet with his wife Miranda Lambert. Together, Dia and Miranda sang “House that Built Me” to which after Blake professed, “Watching you sing that song with my wife it really hit me. You’re family to me now, and I love you, I really do.”

Even though Dia may have not won The Voice, we won’t be surprised if she still hits it big as either a solo act or as front singer of her band Meg & Dia. We plan on keeping our eye on her, and we seriously can’t wait to see what she has planned for the future!
