Day 3- Shopping and some Fine Dining

Friday 24th June, 2011

We decided to be extra lazy today. We still hadn't seen the The Gateway shopping mall, or any of the surrounding retailers, so it was time to go check them out. The stores were big and due to the high humidity, the moment you walk into a store, the cool air-conditioning just blasts straight at you.

I have come to the conclusion that there's not a whole lot of sightseeing to do. You come to Hong Kong to wine, dine and shop. Burberry, Chanel, Tiffany & Co. were all there. So was my favourite- H&M.

It was soon lunch time and we found a typical Irish Pub in the middle of the chaotic streets. It was so nice to sit inside an air-conditioned bar with a drink to cool down with and a steak sandwich to fill the belly. By this stage we were all shopped out and ready to go back to our room for a siesta.

In the evening, Daniel had organised for us to dine at the Langham Hotels Two Michelin Stars Restaurant - T'ang Court. The service was exceptional and the food was exquisite. We ate authentic Cantonese culinary masterpieces from this legendary Hong Kong restaurant. It was a lovely way to slowly wrap up our stay in Hong Kong- One that I'll always remember.
