Chuka Soba Inoue (中華そば 井上) is probably the best ramen I’ve had in Tokyo, Japan —or anywhere, honestly. This legendary ramen street food stall has been featured in the NY Times and is well known by ramen enthusiasts across Tokyo.

It’s located on the outer side walk of Tsukiji Fish Market, which unfortunately has been threatening to close. The kitchen is out in the open so you can see everything, there always seems to be a line of people waiting, and there is just one food item (soy based ramen) available.

It doesn’t feel pretentious, though. Just a bunch of us waiting in line, clutching ‎6,500¥, excited about moving our ramen to a standing table to chow down.
