Celebrities addicted to Korean food

With healthy eating becoming the latest trend, bibimbap, pajeon, bulgogi-cucumber-kimchi burgers, and japchae are becoming the preferred dishes of a growing number of celebrities.

Actress Brooke Shields was seen shopping for gochujang and other Korean food items at a Korean supermarket in New York. According to Chosun Ilbo, Shields revealed that her love for Korean food began after her first taste of bibimbap, and soon learned to cook various dishes herself. Shields, however, is not the first celebrity to have expressed an interest in Korean food. Snapshots of Gossip Girl‘s Kelly Rutherford were taken near a Korean food truck this past April, while Bethenny Frankel tweeted about enjoying Korean BBQ at NYC’s Woo Lae Oak last month.

An upcoming PBS series called Kimchi Chronicles will also feature Hugh Jackman and Heather Graham showcasing some of the best Korean cuisine. The show has been airing in NYC (the show airs every Sunday at 4p.m. on WNET), but it will soon be broadcasting nationwide in July.
