This past Sunday evening, three organizations, Freedom and Fashion, Gallant Suits, and Coalition to Abolish Slavery & Trafficking (CAST), came together for Gallants Suits’ Launch Party to discuss the fight to end sex trafficking and why people need to “wear our values.”

Held at Edgar Varela Fine Arts (EVFA) Gallery in downtown Los Angeles, the cause brought crowds of people, all with the common denominator of supporting those whose rights have been and are being abused through the sex trafficking industry. The event also celebrated the launch of Andrew Park‘s Gallant Suits with on-spot personal fittings and a fashion show with %100 proceeds from the purchases being  donated to CAST LA—an organization fighting sex trafficking at the local level.

The evening also included speakers from each organization: Bonnie Kim, founder of Freedom and Fashion; Kay Buck, CEO of CAST; and Andrew Park, creator of Gallant Suits. Korean Beacon was excited to be invited to the inspiring event, and that night, we made a pledge to report more about the often marginalized voices of the survivors of the sex trade industry.
