Job Description - Merchandiser

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • Develop and provide category business plan with strategic concepts and drive the execution of the plan with related functions.
  • Align with company, category KPI (turnover, standard margin, contribution, stock turn, SKU, market share) and initiate business development.

Accountabilities:
1. Strategic Business Plan
-. Develop & Input of strategic business plan for the BU.
-. Integrate & Align all global marketing functions in SBP and drive the process.
-. Collect input from go-to-market teams and share final plan.

2. Seasonal planning
-. Develop framework for seasonal concept planning.
-. Check relevance of global concepts regarding local specifics. (R, QR and CR)

3. Product Range
-. Review product concepts referring to local relevance. (incl. own retail)
-. Be the expert for customer needs in the relevant BU and give commitment to final range architecture.
-. Contribute to the range selection process from the global range to Area ranges.
-. Recommend and support the category product range per channel/consumer and develop sell-in packages.
- Present category product range internally and externally (to key retail partners)
-. Work close with Account to ensure brand and business alignment.
-. Coordinate category forecasting process with product marketing planning.
-. Achieve the net sales and margin target and take the co-responsibility for the result.
-. Achieve the core KPI through product range planning.
-. Maximize the utilization of Intelligence tools.
-. Conduct efficient and productive communication with teams concerned to meet the company target.
-. Maximize the sales with right understanding of market and consumer/ customer needs.
-. Create and develop new business opportunity.

4. Go-to-market
-. Develop local go-to-market strategy.
-. Customize and complete product marketing packages according to local specifics & customer needs.
-. Understand market dynamic and drive relevant concepts to supplement.
-. Define the product distribution strategy per channel/consumer.
-. Drive the price strategy and harmonization for the category.
-. Build strategic relationships with key accounts in alignment with regional/area sales to be the regional customer/consumer experts.
-. Present category go-to-market plans internally and externally.

5. Monitoring & Tracking
-. Read and react on booking & sell-through data.
-. Monitor product KPI (turnover, standard margin, contribution, stock turn, SKU, market share) and initiate business development.

  • Passion for the category

Required Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree or above
  • More than 1 year experience in Apparel goods industry

Job Description – Account Manager

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • To ensure profitable market share and net sales growth with Multi Brand Key Accounts in Market while respecting the image of the adidas Group brands.

Accountabilities:

  • To update the customer segmentation channel classification annually
  • To develop assigned Multi brand n Key Accounts, tap full potential and manage all interfaces towards adidas respecting the framework set by the HoF
  • To develop/update Multi brand Account Fact Books and Fashion Strategic Account Plans according to the customer portfolio mapping strategies
  • To organize and prepare sell-in customer meetings using the sell-in checklist, pre-selecting the range, offering sell-out support, based on our seasonal focus products, technologies and concepts
  • To negotiate and enforce the adidas trade terms
  • To visit customers regularly respecting the store visit checklist guidelines (VM, WSP/WOM, RSM, re-orders, POS-material etc.) and conducting the store audits, ensuring continuous improvement of the store audit results
  • To conduct the fashion CSS, feedback results to the accounts and derive action plans
  • To measure progress on own KPIs
  • To report to all superiors along MIS guidelines.
  • To monitor all reports to monitor and report on customers and competitors activities and propose/initiate/take actions
  • To provide realistic plans and forecasts on customer performance
  • To ensure customer compliance with agreements

Required Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Preferably college educated
  • Functional: > 3-4 years in sales, ideally with wholesale focus
  • Industry: ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG
  • Exposure: Fashion, sport lifestyle
