‘Hero: The Musical’ coming soon to Lincoln Center

Hero: The Musical is a Korean Broadway-syle show that will make its American debut on August 23 at the David H. Koch Theater. Directed by Moon Jyung Kim, the musical premiered in Seoul in 2009, soon receiving various awards, including Best Musical, Best Actor, Best Director, and Best Music.

Commissioned to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of An Chunggun, Hero: The Musical tells the story of An Chunggun, an activist of the Korean independence movement whose patriotism eventually led to his execution in Japan. This new ACOM International production has been hailed as “the best musical of the past 40 years in Korea,” and is a show you won’t want to miss.

Performances will run until September 3. Click here to view the full schedule and to purchase tickets.
