‎I’ve been to some nice jjimjilbangs (aka public spas) in Korea, but Spa World in Osaka, Japan takes it to a new level. You can stay for an eloquent spa day (‎2,700¥ for weekdays or 3,000¥ for weekends) or spend the night (for an extra 1,300¥).

The area is huge with lots to do and eat. There is even a co-ed waterpark on the top floor. The onsens have two distinctly different themes: European and Asian. And, the genders switch off month-to-month on what theme they get. When I went, women had the European theme and men had the Asian theme. They are both very impressive.

It seems that Japan is much more sensitive about tattoos than Korea, so unfortunately, you may not be asked to leave if anyone sees and complains about your tattoos.
