It's pretty rare for a Korean restaurant in Busan to have a decent vegetarian option, so this was a bit of a nice surprise discovery. They don't seem to advertise to foreigners although they did say that they have had quite a few eat there..
The vege set menu was traditional Korean food - kimchis, salads, soups and much more, including some fairly unusual dishes - but all very healthy - and brought in multiple waves of dishes... loads of food and plenty of variety...I'm 99% sure that it was all totally free of meat and seafood too.
If you're a vege after good Korean style food and want a bit of a change from the Somyeon buffet or bibimbap - check it out - the vege dinner set menu was 20,000 Won per person (dinner is minimum of 2 people and they like you to book) they also do lunch menus and can do a vege option for 9,000 (haven't tried this yet)..
remember to mention Chaeshik if you want the veg option..one of the women working there had quite good English when I was first making inquiries...
Directions>
Subway
- Geumnyeonsan exit 2 (1 subway stop from Gwangan). At the top of
exit2 turn around take the right turn off the main road(so the St
Benedict Dental Hospital is on your right). Follow the road about 100
meters and turn right. The road goes under little overpass/bridge and
as you come round out the other side there is a large white building on
your left - (should be a banner hanging from it saying Korean natural
food restaurant).
