Hey Folks

The Spoken Word scene is on quite a roll these days!

Wordz Only, the child of Poetry Plus, is back (with a new format) for a night of righteous Spoken Word: poetry, short stories, personal narratives, limericks, sonnets, rhymes, murmurs, hollers, chants, rants, & tall tales. First-timers, old-timers, slammers are ALL encouraged to join in the sharing!

We will have TWO Feature readers who are on nice creative arcs so come on out and be lit by their sparks.

*Chris Dunkin is the founder of the new Jinju Ignite Open Mic. He is a writer & spoken word artist who is stil a relative newbie to South Korea.

*Anthony Velasquez is a writer of many genres but for this event he will be sharing some of his writing in the format of lyric narrative. His writing on food & wine can easily be found on the Busan Haps website. He is currently enrolled in an MFA program & furthering the scope of his literary imagination.

In addition to the two features, we also have six 5 minute spots & two 10 minute spots available for sign ups on a first come, first serve basis. We'll take a brief intermission & conclude within two hours. 

*The Vinyl Underground is a legendary cavern club which has hosted many of the classic expat events over the last eleven years.

To get there: In Kyungsung (subway stop 212). Go up exit 3. Walk past the Starbucks to the first street, turn right, go two and a half blocks, & go down the stairs. Look for the famous Andy Warhol banana image.
