Hey Seafarers!
This is a WinK Exclusive event - setting sail at sea on a tallship to go island hopping, diving off the ship, walking the plank, riding in a crow’s nest and enjoying the sunshine and fresh air! This is hands down one of the best trips we offer and we are the ONLY travel group to do it!
ABOUT THE KOREANA
The Koreana was built in the Netherlands in 1983 and restored after coming to Korea in 1995. At 41 meters (134ft) long and weighing 136 tons, complete with 4 masts a crows nest, and even a plank you can dive off of, this ship impresses on sight. Please note the following:
•Although there is plenty of space on deck to lay out and enjoy the sun and breeze, the galley is not spacious like a cruise ship. Narrow hallways and steep steps so please be careful.
•There are various places you can sleep such as bunk beds and padded benches.
•We’ll be doing plenty of diving and swimming, so bring your swimsuit and any water goodies you might have!
ISLAND HOPPING
1. Sa-Do Island: Dinosaur footprints 84 (~300ft) meters long, a giant T-Rex statue, a 100 million year old fossilized tree and ancient crustaceans embedded in the rock in front of crashing waves makes for one mysterious island that we’re going to stay at overnight. And swimming and diving!
2. Gae-Do Island: We’ll head off to a makgeolli factory, where we walk away with as many bottles as we can carry! And swimming and diving!
3. Ha Hwa Do Island: For anyone interested, a light hiking trail with wild flowers and curious villagers await. Or enjoy the floating dock to dive off of - maybe even a game of King of the Hill!

If you cannot meet with us at a pickup location you can meet us at the harbor. Email us to discuss what might be the best way to get there if you are not too familiar with bus schedules.

The basic cost is 195,000 won if you make your deposit on or before 8/13 and includes:
1. Tall Ship Cruise for 2 Days
2. Round Trip Private Bus to Marina
3. Breakfast for both days
4. Lunch for both days
5. Bacon Burger Dinner
6. Gaedo Makgeolli Tasting
7. Trip Leaders
After 8/13, the basic cost of this trip will be 199,000 won.
OPTIONS
ADD 5,000 KRW per person to rent a 2 or 4 person tent. (ADD 10,000 KRW per person refundable deposit, returned as cash on Sunday if tent is returned in same condition).
SUBTRACT 25,000 KRW if meeting us at the Marina (Limited to first 10 people interested, please email).
GROUP DISCOUNT
3,000 KRW discount for each person of a group of 5 to 9.
5,000 KRW discount to each person of a group of 10 or more.
To Qualify: The group leader must submit all names by email, from which point all deposits must be received within 24 hours.
FREQUENT TRAVELER DISCOUNT
1,000 KRW discount for having attended 1 or 2 trips.
3,000 KRW discount for having attended 3 or 4 trips.
5,000 KRW discount for having attended 5 to 9 trips.
10,000 KRW discount for having attended 10 or more trips.

SLEEPING AREAS
The ship has sleeping spaces to cover 40 people underneath. The maximum capacity is 60 people. Depending on the weather, it can be a little warm and cramped in the galley. They are not all bunk beds but some are reclining chairs and some are padded benches. So most people prefer to sleep on deck or pitch tents on the island we’ll be docked at. You can rent our tents or bring your own, but bring your own blankets since the skipper will not allow the ship’s blankets to be taken on deck). You may want to bring your own rolling mat if you have one.
TENT RENTING
The 10,000 KRW refundable deposit will be returned as cash on Sunday if the tent is returned in the same operable and aesthetic condition as it was handed out. Failure to do so forfeits the deposit.

THINGS TO KNOW
1. We do our best to buy enough supplies to feed everyone but to avoid disappointment, please show up when we announce it’s ready .
2. The ship cruising schedule depends on factors such as weather and sea tides. The captain reserves the right to change course as required but we will make every effort to stay on course and on schedule.
3. We will do our best to separate recyclables and trash - help us out and also crush your cans and plastic bottles!
And don't bother with hassle of trying to convince a friend to go. Many people sign up by themselves and make lifelong friends - great trips do that!

(5) REFUND / CREDIT POLICY:
Time of Deposit to 10 Days before Departure Time = 10,000 KRW Cancellation Charge per person
10 Days to 72 hours before Departure Time = 30,000 KRW Cancellation Charge per person
72 hours to 24 hours before Departure Time = 75,000 KRW Cancellation Charge per person
24 Hours before Departure Time to Not Attend = 10,000 KRW credit for a future trip not signed up.
