Norway’s very own genius, the singer-songwriter, Sondre Lerche, will be having his first headline show in Seoul on November 22nd at the Hongdae V-Hall, following his appearance at the 8th Seoul Jazz Festival 2014. Prior to his show, Sondre Lerche will be releasing his new album [Please] in September of 2014. Along with his highly recognized hit songs, Sondre Lerche is expected to put on a beautiful show full of heart and artistry.

Having headlined the Seoul Jazz Festival 2014’s Spring Garden Stage, Sondre Lerche was able to capture the hearts of the audience with just his vocal and guitar. He really knew how to work the crowd to join him in his quest of enjoying life to the fullest, and the crowd loved him, filling out the venue capacity to the point where there was a lineup waiting to enter the venue.

Sondre Lerche had released his debut album [Face Down] in 2002, at the mere age of only 19, and Rolling Stone had selected him as one of top 50 Best Artist of the Year. He had also claimed Norway Grammy’s ‘the Best New Artist’ award in 2002. With his simple acoustic style of music, Sondre Lerche was recognized immediately after his debut and with the release of [Two Way Monologue] in 2004, [Duper Sessions] in 2006, and [Phantom Punch] in 2007, he had continued to build himself up as a musician. In Korea, Sondre Lerche was especially recognized after his song was featured in the movie ‘Dan in Love’ (2007), and also, through the release of [Heartbeat Radio] in 2009 and [Sondre Lerche] in 2011, he created lots of anticipation and expectations amongst his fans in Korea. His song was also featured in the movie ‘The Sleepwalker’ (2013) and the media had given Sondre Lerche much credit for the support and the general uplifting of the movie in general. If one were to categorize Sondre Lerche, he would most probably be labeled as a singer-songwriter, but as a multi-instrumentalist with much talent, his ability in music has a very wide range of spectrum. Known to many as a jazz band leader, punk musician, and also as a ‘teen idol’, he is now in his 30s, and he is on the verge of making another breakthrough by taking all that life has had to offer during his past years of building himself as an artist. Always looking for something new, his ambitions and strive for 2014 looks bright and promising.
