Do you want to jostel through millions of tourists or enjoy a few selected attractions?

If you ever had a chance to visit Jinhae during the festival, that weekend might be a real bummer owing to the terrible traffic...I am not a greenhorn and that's why I organize Jinhae trip for the first time since 2000.

The Jinhae Gunhang (Naval Port) Festival is the largest, and arguably the prettiest, cherry blossom festival in the country. Every year, hundreds of thousands of tourists head down the city to bask in the beauty of the cherry blossoms trees. 

There are special spots offering amazing views of the cherry blossoms around Jinhae. At Mt. Jangbok Park, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the entire city covered with cherry blossoms, contrasting with the sparkling blue sea. An alternative is going to Mt. Jehwang Park, where you can walk up the 365 steps, called 'Year Stairway', for another view of the city blanketed with blossoms.

Take a walk under the canopy of cherry blossoms at the tree-lined Anmin Road, or the picturesque 1.5-kilometer tunnel along Yeojwacheon street from Park Land to Jinhae Girl's High School. The public can also have a chance to visit the cherry blossom street inside the Korea Naval Academy and Naval Base Headquarters during the Gunhang festival only.

Busan - Jinhae Coastal Road - Maritime Park - Suchi Seashore - Gyeonghwa Station - Jehwangsan Park - Naval Base HQ - Yeojwacheon Stream - Fisheries Research & Development Institute - 3~4 Hours Hiking [Mt. Jangbok - Deokjubong Peak - Anmin Ridge] - 
Option 1: Gyeongnam Provincial Government Park - Skyscraper Museum 
Option 2: Int'l Military Band & Honor Guard Festival at www.jinhaetattoo.com
