Good day, fellow Busanites

So a couple of years ago, a small group of brave waygookins banded together, donated 10,000 won each to a local charity, held hands and ran into Haeundae beach in their skivvies.

LET'S DO IT AGAIN!!!

Come one, come all to The Wolfhound on January 26th, 2013. Warm up your bodies with some beverages, give money to an awesome cause and freeze ur frickin tushies off with us!!

No prizes, no raffles just good old fashioned money in a jar, jar to charity, lots of shivering foreigners with their heads held high knowing that they did the crazy to raise some much needed funds.

Money raised will be going to the Youngho Local Children's Center. Here's some info about it:)

Youngho Local Childrens' Center is an after school program dedicated to elementary, middle, & high school students who come from hardship homes; for example, low income single-parent families or families in which one parent is deceased. Children attending this school are taught all subjects, assisted with their homework and studying and given healthy meals as well. It's an amazing program to help students who would otherwise not have the opportunities that so many of their peers experience.

Freezin' for a Reason will be donating every penny of your 10,000 won donations (or more^^) to this fantastic group of life changers. If you haven't already clicked 'attending' please do.

Update (Jan. 25):
Whaa!! Tomorrow is the big day! I'll be there to set up the donation jar etc. around noon so any time you want to come on over to theWolfhound do it! The run into the water will be between 2 and 3, whenever people seem ready, well, as ready as we'll ever be^^ I have playing cards for the first 5 tables filled if they want them (i find that day drinking and cards go well together...) After the run into the water, back to the Wolfhound to celebrate our insanity and warm up! Just a fun day of raising money for kiddies who would otherwise not have our donations~

People have been asking about polar bear dip strategies so anyone is welcome to post their advice. I'm a fan of the "wear as much as you can to the beach and as little as you can into the water so you dry off faster" approach.
