Beached Bar, Bollywood Indian Restaurant and Bar, HQ Gwangan, and Sharky's Gwangan are excited to bring to you, the unathletic public of Busan, the First Gwangalli BAPS Charity Kickball Tournament!!!

Want to form a team or just come to watch? Here are the details:

When: Sunday, September 25th from noon to 4:00 (And a Pub Crawl afterwards)

Where: In front of Homer's Hotel on Gwangalli Beach

Who Are We Supporting: 

The Busan Abandoned Pet Sanctuary is a privately run sanctuary in South Korea that cares for homeless animals until they are placed in a forever home. They have been doing amazing work since 2008, and it is dependent on donations from good people like you to keep running. Learn more athttps://www.facebook.com/shindogs/. BAPS will also have information available on the day of the event if you want to learn more and hopefully volunteer to help.

What is Kickball?:

You don't know? Well, here's a rundown--

Got it? It's easy, and you can be as in-shape or out-of-shape as you want and still not make a total mess of yourself. Beach studs and total nerds are almost on an equal playing field when it comes to Kickball.

How To Enter: 

First off, teams must have 8 people, and they must be co-ed, with at least 3 men/women per team. Please post on this Event Page with the name of your team and the full names of all 8 players. We will need to cap the number of teams at 16, so if you are interested in playing, please get in touch ASAP. If you want to play but don't have a team, send John Meyerriecks or Bolly Wood a private message and they can try to get you hooked up. 

For logistical reasons, the deadline for signing up is Friday, September 23rd.

What Can You Win:

The champion will win a trophy and a great prize from each bar--Beached (Jim Beam bottle set), Bollywood (50,000 meal voucher), HQ Gwangan (Jameson bottle set), and Sharkys (Canadian Club bottle set). These prizes can be collected on the day of the tournament or later on.

After-Party Pub Crawl:

When the tournament is over, there will be a Curry Pub Crawl. At each of the sponsoring bars--Beached, Bollywood, HQ Gwangan, and Sharkys--there will be a different FREE sample curry from Bollywood ONLY for players in the tournament. The participating venues will also each have their own individual drink specials and other Sunday Funday things going on, so you'll be able to fill your belly with some delicious curry and try to forget that you've got to work the next day.

How Much To Enter: 

The entry fee is 10,000 won per person. Half of this will go directly to BAPS, and the other half will be going towards the prizes, pub crawl food, etc. Teams/players are able to pay at HQ Gwangan or Bollywood Indian Restaurant--we are not able to collect money on the beach the day of the event. The deadline for payment is Friday, September 23rd.


This is an exciting new event that is going to help an awesome organization that has helped so many animals (and people). We hope to see you on the beach on September 25th!
