Card Sharks, Drinkers, and Lovers of Good Times,

You are cordially invited by the ladies and fellas from Beached Bar, Gwangan Taphouse, HQ Gwangan, Roof Bar, and Sharkys to the first of what we hope to become an annual beach tradition: The Gwanganli Pub Poker Run!

What is this? Well, it combines two of our favorite things--gambling and drinking--into a beach-wide pub crawl. Here are the rules:

1) Pick up a souvenir pint glass--these will have the Poker Run logo painted on them, and we'll be using the glasses to keep track of people's hands-- for 4000 won at one of the participating bars. We only have 150 glasses, and once they're gone, they're gone; the 4000 won is going to cover the costs of having the glasses made.

2) Go to each of the bars and buy a drink, then draw one card from a standard deck of 52 cards. Your card will be drawn on to the glass by the bartender. In the case that you draw a card that you've already gotten at a different bar--for instance, if you draw a Queen of Hearts at both HQ and Sharkys--then you will have to draw a new card.

3) After you've completed a full hand of five cards, get your picture taken and register your hand with the bar you're at. We will compile the results the next day to determine the winners.

And what can you win, you're possibly asking?

Best Hand: 50,000 in Credit at each of the five bars (250,000 Total Prize)

Second Best Hand: 25,000 Credit at each of the five bars (125,000 Total Prize)

Third, Fourth, and Fifth Best Hands: 10,000 in credit at each of the five bars (50,000 Total Prize)

There will be yet-to-be-announced specials at the participating bars as well.

The weather is starting to get nice again, so let's prepare for a ridiculous summer on Gwangan Beach by doing some gambling, drinking, and hopefully winning.
