I'm pleased to announce officially that USS Busan has reopened its Seamen's Center at Pier 3, just behnd Busan Station in downtown Busan.  Our basic operating schedule will be as follows:

Dining Room open daily 11am ~ 2:30pm and 5 ~ 8pm
Bar is open Monday through Thursday 5pm ~ 9pm
(although bar service is available throughout the day)
Bar is open Friday and Saturday 5pm~ 10pm
(although bar service is available throughout the day)
The Gift Shop is open Monday through Saturday 11am ~ 9pm

The United Seamen's Service Seamen's Club continues to offer a full service menu.  Reservations are strongly recommended for special events and buffets, and for groups.  The Seamen's Club phone number is (051) 462-8029.

To reintroduce our international clientele to the Seamen's Center, we're offering Port Services Association status for the four-month September ~ December period for a nominal KRW50,000.  In accordance with military regulations, all patrons must either have DOD/US Government ID, merchant seafarer ID, military base pass, or a United Seamen's Service Port Services Association Card.  All authorized patrons may sign in guests.

Those wishing to participate should bring two (2) ID photographs at the time of their visit, at which time they may complete an application.  Applications should be completed and submitted to Mr. Kim Pyong Kun, my manager, when visitng the Seamen's Club.

As in the past, we will be having special events, to include Thanksgiving and Christmas Buffets, and the popular take-out dinners during the Thanksgiving through Lunar New Year holiday season.  We look forward to seeing members of the international community throughout the coming months.

Best regards

(I understand that this is a temporary move of perhaps 9 months, as the building at pier 8 is renovated. When that Club is ready, then pier 3 will be closed again.)
