Recommendations for TOEFL classes for adults taught in ENGLISH

Hello!

Need recommendations for TOEFL class for adults taught in English.

I am a native English speaker so I prefer a class taught in English.

I would prefer to take classes for the month of July so I can take the exam in August.

If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it.

May I ask why you want to take the TOEFL? Are you planning to teach a TOEFL class? Are you trying to get into a Korean University? If you are just taking it to become familiar, just take a practice exam once or twice.

I teach TOEFL speaking (and some writing) and I would have to say, as a native speaker, to just get books published by Darakwon (How to Master Skills for the TOEFL and TOEFL Map) and self-study. They publish a book at 3 different levels for all four parts of the test.

The Darakwon books contain the most practice questions out of the 10+ books I have looked through and they have helpful tips and plenty of sample responses. The intermediate level books are best for creating a structure for your response and the advanced books are the best for working on near-test-like questions.

Really it is only a hard test if you don't know anything about it (as a native speaker). The hard part is timing and knowing how to answer. If you have graduated from college, you could easily get a 100+ if you just know how to answer and have good timing. It also has critical thinking which the majority of schools in the West use in education, which makes it a lot easier (Koreans who take it have to learn about thinking critically in english which is why it is so hard for them). I would also recommend englishraven on youtube. He is a professional online TOEFL instructor and has excellent (and free) tips for approaching the TOEFL. I think he also offers online courses.

I think your best bet might be a university class or a chain like Pagoda. Many TOEFL systems use a korean teacher for some things (Reading/Listening) and a foreigner for other things (Speaking/Writing) so I doubt you will find an all English course unless there are multiple foreign teachers in one place.

I suggest not to waste your money with an institute in Korea. They are good for Koreans, but I doubt most will offer every lesson in full english.
