Poo Da Dalk?

Hey all.  When I lived in Busan back in 2002/2003, I used to eat a ton of rotisserie chicken at a place near Somyon (I think) called Poo Da Dak.  But my memory is really, really hazy.

I may be coming back for a visit in October, and would really appreciate it if someone could set me straight.  Anyone know what I'm talking about?  It's this delicious chicken stuffed with rice and jujube, usually served with a litre of beer and a selection of four sauces.

I actually think this is a franchise, so it may also exist in Seoul, too.  If you can help me out with locations, I'd be one happy Kenada saram.

Re: Poo Da Dalk?

I know there's one for sure in Dongnae.  Many of my coworkers go there...

Re: Poo Da Dalk?

I'm pretty sure there is one in PNU near the main bus stop, a stone's throw from it. There was one years ago and it was a popular place.

Re: Poo Da Dalk?

There's that one and many others in town.  There's one in PNU just called "Dak."  Another one in Kyungsungdae called "Dalk."  There's also a good place in Gwangali called "Cuzco"  and one one in Yeonsan-dong whose name escapes me.  I don't know of one in Seomyeon, but there must be something.

I think the best chicken these days is a chain called 오꾸닭. It's oven baked chicken with many sauces.  They're everywhere these days - with a big red sign on black.  Less greasy than the other joints and just good, tasty chicken - as well as cold ass beer in long glasses.

Re: Poo Da Dalk?

Seconded on 오꾸닭. They even have it at the baseball stadium these days.

Re: Poo Da Dalk?

Thanks for the responses!  This is just one of many, many things I'm looking forwarded to experiencing when I come back.

Re: Poo Da Dalk?

That chain has seemingly folded--the location at PNU has long since closed down, but there are plenty of no name roast chicken places all over town.
