organic farm?
Printer-friendly version

Wondering if anyone knows of an organic farm that I can buy my vegetables and meats from. I think most of the vendors in the market consider themselves "organic" but I'd like to find a dedicated organic farm. And I'd love to find a free range/cage free farm to buy eggs and poultry too.

Also are there any specifically organic stores in PNU? Restaurants?

If any of one knows of an environmentalist group that needs help or a volunteer please contact me as well.

A organic/fair trade shop in PNU

There is a grocery shop in PNU that has some organic and fair trade foods (or at least that's what they say on them). The store is called iCoop, I think it is a chain but I haven't seen any others. Anyway, walk north along the canal from the subway station till you come to the third bridge over the canal or the CS25, take a right (East) on that road and walk to the next big road, it will be on the corner on your right. Cheers.

I would be very leary of shelling out significantly more money here for so called 'organic' foods. I watched an investigative show not too long ago and that episiode touched on it, it also looked at so called 'mineral water' and the distribution station that the water comes from. The focus was more on the fact that Koreans were buying Aussie and American beef, opening it, tossing the box and re-selling it as Korean beef at twice the price.

All I'm saying is be aware that what you think you are buying and what you might actually be getting could be two different things. Personally I think it's all a mind screw to make you think you are doing/eating the right things.

Most supermarkets have an organic food section, most of it expensive imported stuff. A fair few also have an organic fruit and veg section.

Organic farm

Hey jgkorea,

You can contact WWOOF (willing workers on organic farms).  They have an office in Seoul you can find contact information here http://www.cityfarmer.org/wwoofkorea.html.  I'm sure they know of some good farms, and if you want to volunteer they will find a place to let you do so.

Correct punctuation and grammar.

L.B.S.

As we are so intent on showing our command of the English language, please note that "your example" is the commencement of a sentence, and requires a capital letter Y on "your".

I would consider it rather prudent to proof read your own comments before posting  grammatical and punctuation lessons for others.

Yea.. it's amazing and it made sense.. and actually, it's at the same time entertaining (reading it like crazy while the whole idea's still intact).  On a personal  note, I find it funny ::)

Anal torch?

Ah L.B.C. you have me there. I confess to a lack of experience in this rather unique cognitive technique.

Is this in any way linked to anal retention?

If so, having read your numerous monologues on this site, I will bow to your expertise in this method of communication, and allow you to continue with your anal style of thought.

There are lots of things to consider in settling or finding organic farms. Maybe a few more payday loans would help in finding organic farms to setlle your problems.
