Need a Mover?
Printer-friendly version

Hello-

I'm considering starting a part time moving business, and would like your opinions. It would mainly be moving foreigners from one apartment to another, as well as moving large items bought from places like Koreabridge. Things like a sofa, a bookcase, a matress, or a dinning room table and chairs. Anything that wouldn't fit into a taxi, or could be taken by subway. It wouldn't be my main income, so I could keep the rates low. It would just be a bit of extra income, and to help my fellow foreigners. Language certainly wouldn't be an issue. So what do you think? Yes? No? Maybe? Would you use such a service, or know people who would? Reply here, or email me, please.

Thanks for your input.

I think it's a good idea. It would be nice to have such a service in english. To make your money back on a truck could take a while though.

You're right about that. That's why I'm thinking about approaching someone who has a truck, and seeing if I could maybe use it to see how much business I would get, and if buying a truck would be worth it. I see it as being a good business that could grow and grow, or a complete flop. You're the only one who has commented so far, so that could be telling me something.
