Fly Fishing in Busan
Printer-friendly version

Attention anyone interested in fly fishing:

I'm looking for people to form a Busan Fly Fisher's Club.  I've met a couple other people with a passion for the sport, and I'm looking for more to share knowledge/stories, to go on trips, etc.  I've got a spare rod and would love to teach anyone who would like to learn as well.   I've established a few decent spots for fishing here and am constantly looking for more as well as other people interested in the sport.

I'm a fly fisherman though I

I'm a fly fisherman though I have yet to do it in Korea, despite the fact that I've been here for over six years.  I've heard of people fly-fishing here before but know little about where and how.  Are there any decent trout streams in this country?  I know there are some big bass in the lakes...

Where do you go?

Yeah, I'm still new to it but

Yeah, I'm still new to it but I'm finding out places to go and advice from other ex-pats.  There are sweet trout streams up north in Gangwando, but I probably won't be able to hit them until next fall.  I'm interested in getting up there in April, though I'm not sure it will happen - maybe though.

As far as down here, I fish the nakdong and I now have a motorcycle so I'm going to check out lakes and rivers outside of Busan.  If you'd like to join me, that'd be excellent.
