Awesome Manly Asteroid Blowing Up Stuff

It’s like Carl Sagan has returned in the form of a bald man armed with a laser!

How do we stop an asteroid, one that might impact the Earth in 2036? Boom and tug. Push it a little with a nuke, and then tow it with a satellite a little more, to insure it doesn’t just return the same way in the future.

But, really, watch the episode for the explosions! And, make your wife watch, because it’s really boring for woman to watch guys blowing things up!

I do have ask, really, why use Sydney as the site for destruction? Does Phil Plait have it out for Australia?

The Bad Astronomer Smashes Some Rock (Video)

Dr. Phil Plait Goes to Work
I can’t wait to see Phil Plait’s new Discovery show – so far only three episodes – Phil Plait’s Bad Universe
.

Actually, although Phil does a fair bit of blowing stuff up in “Asteroid Apocalypse,” it’s not just about blasting holes in the desert for fun (although it is a heck of a lot of fun). There’s a serious — and alarming — message he wants to deliver to the Bad Universe viewers: We will get hit by some kind of space rock in the future.

The Glory That Was Rome (Video)

The History of Rome podcast sparked interest in the HBO series Rome. I’d seen it years ago on its original run, but now I’ve watched the first 6 episodes again. I’m also set to watch I, Claudiusagain. The psychological insights both made into these men of stone is worth the liberties both series made with fact,

40 Inch T.V., VGA Converter, 3 Seat Couch and more!!!

Neighborhood:
Buk-Gu

I have a forty inch LG TV I bought last year that I have to get rid of before I leave. It's not LD, or state of the art. But it works well, has a clear picture, and good sound quality. I also have a VGA - S video converter (which is surprisingly difficult and expensive to buy in Korea) that I would throw in. It helps a lot if you want to turn the T.V. into a computer monitor for movies etc. I'm looking for 200,000 for both, but am open to negotiation.

I am also selling a big 3-4 person couch with a nice ottoman which doubles as a coffee table. Asking 30,000

And I know this is probably the last thing anyone wants right now, haha, but I have a ceramic heater. I used it in the winter to cut down on my heating bill, and I actually still use it now to dry my laundry in a hurry. Asking 15,000

If you're interested in anything, my number is 010 2202 0542. Just text me and I'll send you some pictures.

Shaolin Soccer

Apparently it was the dream of many Korean men to watch the World Cup on a 3D TV. I thought that was a little optimistic but then I found one in Lotte Department Store near us, proving at least that the technology was really out there as opposed to 'coming soon'. However, at around 2.5 million won (£1,400/$2,100), for many it may have remained a dream for now, although Samsung claim to have sold 26,000 3D TVs in Korea, so evidently some had the money to make the leap of faith.
