Busy Busy Busy!

Busy Busy Busy!

I sincerely apologize for the lack of updates. Here’s hoping I can get back to a normal schedule sooner than later. On the bright side, the book should be finished in the very near future! Yay!! I’ll start advertising it as soon as I can!

See You In 2016!

See You In 2016!

Sorry for the lack of comics! Due to an insanely heavy workload combined with me getting sick AGAIN, it’s looking like I won’t be able to update again until sometime next year. Thank goodness that’s less than a week away! I probably should have given a warning beforehand, but it can be easy to do […]

Urg, I didn’t want to have to resort to this, but I guess I’m having a lot more trouble with adjusting to my new schedule than I thought. As a result, it’s looking like updates will be a little more random and sporadic, at best, during the month of September. We may just have a month of silly, simple shots like this one.

I know it’s pretty tacky of me to already fall behind, considering how I just got back. Unfortunately, my new job has become rather demanding as of late due to upcoming deadlines, and my focus will ultimately be on my source of income. The fact that I’m uploading this at 3:35AM may give curious minds […]

In all honesty, as fun as it is to think that I’ve been going through some sort of early midlife crisis, the lack of comics has actually been due to two factors. The first is that I’ve been insanely busy, especially since my schedule has been getting switched up on me quite often. I guess that’s the price you pay when working odd jobs, especially during the season where everyone else is going on vacation.

The second reason? Well…let’s just say I’ve been struggling a bit. I fear I may be reaching a point where I’ve been in Korea too long. Ideas are getting stale, and I’m left feeling like I have no excuse to play the wide-eyed, confused foreigner card. It’s very possible that I’m just being too rough on myself, but it doesn’t make the creative process any easier. Maybe I just miss working on personal projects?

Hello Again..

Hey there, readers. It’s me again. I hope I haven’t managed to lose too many of you over the past few weeks. I know this probably isn’t the update you were hoping for, but it’s the best I could do for now.

Before I go on, let me just apologize for the sudden disappearance without offering any sort of explanation. Also, despite having stuff regarding the ferry disaster sitting on the front page for so long, the tragedy was not at all the reason for my absence. Honestly speaking, it wasn’t supposed to be up for longer than a week.

So guess who picked a perfect time to get sick? There’s been this stupid bug going around all of Gwangju, and it chose to attack me this past weekend. Of course, it was polite enough to wait until a little after I was done with work, but I’m still annoyed that it’s here. I wonder if people out of town are getting this as well..

Sorry for the lack actual content this week. Despite my wishes, my roommate fed me all sorts of drugs and demanded that I stay in bed until I was feeling better. I managed to sneak away for a few minutes to draw and write this up. I’m sure I’ll get yelled at for it, but it’s worth it.

I hope everyone else has a nice week! Don’t get sick!

Happy Mother’s Day!!

Happy Mama’s Day to all the lovely mothers out there in the world! Those of you wanting an actual comic will have to wait until next week. Until then, you can all enjoy my silly gift to my very own mother.

If you have yet to wish your mother (or anyone that was like a mother) a joyous day, GET TO IT. It’s not too late for those of you with family on the other side of the world! If you have already done so, feel free to stick around and read this awkwardly long story about the most amazing woman in my life.

When I was little, my mother was my world. She was the main reason why I even started drawing. For the majority of my toddler years, this woman was my muse. I still cringe to think about how many times I drew her as a fairy/angel queen that suffered from a terrible case of lopsided head with a side of tiny legs.

Hey readers! I am so very very very VERY sorry for the weak update this week. At some point during my amazing weekend, I managed to catch something that has left me in a very bad place. I’m surprised I was able to draw this quick thing without passing out. Does it look okay? I fear I might be hallucinating and just drawing senseless pictures of cats.

Anyways, to make up for this mishap, I’ll have a brand new comic for you next week. Here’s hoping it doesn’t mess with the schedule too much!

Also, for you Americans (and even non-Americans), I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I have so much to be thankful for (though I could do without this cold), and the awesome support I’ve received from you readers makes up a large part of by big ball of things to be grateful for.

Mini Comic #002

Mini Comic #002

Hey all! Here’s a special quickie comic I did for everyone in the country that’s dealing with Typhoon Bolaven. While a lot of people will be staying home today, it looks like I will need to go to work. Here’s hoping I don’t get swept away! I envy all you teachers.

It’s actually pretty interesting to see how people are reacting to this storm. As someone who was born and raised around hurricanes, I can’t say I’m too scared. I wish I could say the same for my coworkers. I’m just not looking forward to the walk.

For anyone else that has to go to work like me, or for those of you that have to brave the weather for one reason or another, please stay safe.

Wish me luck!
