The Korean internet exploded tonight with searches for Korea's first major 'wardrobe malfunction'. Hwayoung, an 18-year-old member of Kpop group T'ara, experienced the malfunction during the group's performance of Lovey Dovey on Inkigayo, a live music contest program.
Episode 27 meets us on a high after finding ourselves linked to for a blog recommendation. YAY! We’re almost famous. Ahem, anyway, this week there was a lot of non-news released, but we power through it all anyway to get to our somewhat surprisingly in depth free talk, a bit more silly and fun than normal.
2PM & 2NE1′s comeback in the same week, and more serious news for fans of YG family took precedence. Unfortunately, the free talk in this episode is quite serious and weighty. We also apologize for being late this week, but there was a typhoon in Manila that made recording on our usual day quite difficult.
With lyrics designed to stoke any guy’s ego, and a music video full of eye-candy to boot, Like the First Time (처음처럼) by T-ara (티아라) is a very embarrassing song for a pro-feminist blogger to admit to liking.
Sorry, but it had to happen eventually: I’ve fallen in love with K-pop.
Well, with 3 more remixes from Greek trance DJ Areia (아레아) to be precise. With apologies for dispensing with my normal analysis of the songs on this occasion, but I can’t remember the last time that I liked new music so much that I’ve lost sleep listening to it over the next few days.
