The 5 Day Deal: Why you should buy it NOW!!

Miracle 10: Super C

From the time I was 8 until I was around 10 years old, I had some strange breakouts that plagued me (and my poor Mother while we were in France!).  I got teased quite a bit because of it.  When kids called me the traditional, silly, childhood names reserved for acne I wasn’t really bothered because they were mislabeling the issue.  They weren’t zits, but nobody really knew what was going on with my face.  At one point it all just cleared up, and since then I’ve always been the kind of person who found pride in being able to wash my makeup off with soap and water and still have pretty flawless skin.

HDR Masterclass: Serge Ramelli tells his secrets

I have read a lot of books and I have tried to utilize the information that I found. However, some books either explained to much and we’re just boring and others didn’t explain enough and lost me. The HDR masterclass felt just about right.

Lightroom CC on an OLD Macbook Pro

Lightroom CC was just released and is getting a lot of hype. Kelby Training did a special webinar on it and posts from photographers have flooded the internet. However, the one major thing that no one answered for me was “Would this new program work on my outdated computer?”

This new release of Lightroom is much like Photoshop where it is a separate install. That had me worried a little bit as I knew that at least Lightroom 5 ran on my current system. It is slow but reliable. I had no idea what was going to happen when I installed Lightroom CC.

MMPK Groove Magazine Article

At the tail end of 2014 we were approached by Groove Korea who had an interest in what we are up to.

Don’t Be THAT Guy

Blog Post Image – 600 x 500

So the amazing 5 Day Deal is almost over and there is just a few more hours to get in on this deal. Actually by the time that I finish this post there will probably be only an hour left. It finishes at 1 am here in Korea or 12 pm EST for the western world. That means that your time is running to get your hands on one of the most amazing bundles of photography resources that you can buy.

I Got Published and Look What Happened!!

There have been many examples of photos that have changed the lives of the photographers that have taken them. We all know Nick Ut’s photo of the “Napalm Girl” and how it changed his life. There are many examples of these kinds of life changing photos. However, there are many more people trying trying to catch their big break and hoping that at least one photo will catapult them into stardom. That is why you see people sharing photos to every site imaginable. They (me) pepper facebook and Google Plus  with what they think is award-winning photo. Only to have our friends cheer us on and our mother’s tell us that we should be published in National Geographic.

Flashlight Workshop Gyeongju

When it comes to workshops on photography (in English) you have very limited options in Korea. Outside of Seoul, your options almost drop to zero (I am working on changing that very soon). However, Dylan Goldby and Andy Faulk decided to change all that by putting together a workshop in the historic city of Gyeongju this past weekend. I had a chance to meet up with them and check these guys in action as they gave out their photographic secrets by the boatload.

(Japan) U-en Guesthouse Osaka

When I was in Osaka, I stayed in the perfect guesthouse. It's location was not the best, a 5mins walk from Fukushima Station, but it was reasonably convenient to major places like Tennoji, Namba. I had done many comparisons before hand and found their rates to be very affordable. I'd paid a total of ¥6,200 for one night in a 4-bed girl's dorm and one night in a private double room.

I love how they reply emails promptly and their guesthouse staff were all friendly, have good knowledge of Osaka places & travel recommendations, very helpful and very very pretty.

The place has a very interesting past and most of its interior and architecture are preserved. It's facilities are very modern though. Definitely worth a visit and I will be back for sure.
