Candidly Kate: Feeling Seoul Unsettled

It’s been two and a half weeks since I boarded the KTX and moved my life up to Seoul from Busan.  To say that the transition was a bumpy ride would be an understatement, but I’ve had a lot of support from my parents, my friends back home and in Busan, as well as new friends and colleagues (not to mention superiors) who have helped in many ways (most notably cracking the whip on my landlord to fix my water as well as getting me a sweet new armoire).

If you are looking for entertainments and fun things to do in Seoul, try a visit to the most popular amusement park in the city, Lotte World Theme Park, or Lotte World.

Located in the eastern part of Seoul, this amusement park consists of the world’s biggest indoor theme park “Adventure” which is open all year around, and an outdoor amusement park called “Magic Island”. Along with its thrilling rides, Lotte World offers a variety of performances and festivals all year around! :)

You may get hurt from very dynamic adventure

Amusing sign before coaster ride at Lotte World theme park.

Half the signs in the park yell at me to stretch before rides… do people really cramp up?

How about you warn me to keep my arms and legs in the ride at all times instead? If they are all stretched and nimble it will not do me much good when one gets clopped off because I’m flailing around in the coaster. lol

Why does Lotte world have so much Konglish even though its a major theme-park in Seoul? Lol seriously… hire a teacher down the road to fix that.
