To celebrate Korean Parents’ Day (May 8th) and American Mothers’ Day (May 11th) this year, I made this from video I had taken with my mom during a trip to Hong Kong last year. Full of inside jokes and fun memories, it probably isn’t entertaining to anyone but us, but I thought I’d share it anyway.
We shopped on Sportswear Street, at the Jade Market, Temple Street Night market, ifc, and Ladies Market. My friend, Brandon, recommended Tim Ho Wan in the IFC Mall (one floor down from the Airport Express train check in).
My mom and I are having the best time in Hong Kong. We rode a cable car to the Big Buddha, shopped at the outlets, took a ferry to Macau, and walked the Avenue of Stars. So much more I want to do, but we only have three days left!
My mother and I have landed in Hong Kong. I had such a good time last time that I visited, that I’m not sure where to start this time. I want to show her everything; it’s so overwhelming. Off to start our first day!
I am long overdue for a post about Hong Kong, given the fact that I returned a month ago. Spending Lunar New Year in Hong Kong was a great idea, as it was nice to get out of Korea AND the excitement of the locals was contagious. Everyone was so kind, spoke excellent British English, and the sights were beautiful.
Without further ado, a list of my top eight favorite things from my trip, in no particular order.
