6 Pro Tips for Cycling in Seoul

Cycling is one of the most rewarding ways for you to enjoy Korea!

The Korean government invested a tremendous amount of money in cycle routes and infrastructure. Using these bike-paths are safe ways to explore and exercise.

The entire Riverside Bike Trail system stretches over 1,757 kilometers along the Hangang, Geumgang, Yeongsangang, and Nakdonggang Rivers. There are awesome scenic views and attractions along the paths, cheap places to eat and even plenty of campgrounds. Just Google “4 Rivers Trails” and a ton of information will magically appear. We recommend with a Seoul adventure along portions of the Han River Trail.

How to enjoy the Coolest Water Sports in the middle of Seoul: let’s flyboard on Han River!

Summer in Korea is humid and hot. One of the best ways to fight against the hot hot summer is definitely WATER SPORTS!

One of Trazy’s customers, Yoonhee C, went on a one fine day in June to explore what exactly flyboarding is.

I visited Jamwon Hangang Park to ride flyboard. The staffs are very kind and you can the instructions on how to prepare the ride in many languages (English, Chinese, Japanese). The staffs are fluent in English so foreigners don’t have to worry about the language problem.

Six Things You Need for a Korean Picnic

Is the weather not glorious right now?!

In sunshine like this, I refuse to be inside for any longer than I absolutely have to. This includes for meals. In fact, one of my favorite things to do in this weather is picnic. And with all the great green spaces the city has to offer (like Naksan Park, the Han River and the Dream Forest), a picnic can be had just about anywhere.

Night Views and City Lights on the Han River Fireworks Cruise

Few places in Seoul are as soothing as the Han River, also known as the Hangang. Stretching 319 miles (514 km) through the city and beyond, the river has played an important role in the Korean capital's history. Although still utilized for economic and industrial purposes, the average Seoulite views the Han River as a source of recreation and entertainment.

Tracing the entirety of the river are a variety of parks, bicycle paths, basketball courts and riverside cafes. It's my favorite place to hang out on a pretty day- perfect for picnicking, soaking up some sun or just going for a walk to enjoy the spectacular skyline of the city I've called home for the past five years.

It’s Saturday, why am I up at this unwelcoming hour? That’s right, you’ve decided to spend the Chuseok public holiday cycling across a whole country…

Top 10 Things to Do in Seoul

I've been writing Seoul Searching for just over five years now and although I've mentioned a lot of great places to visit, it recently came to my attention that I have yet to put together a list of the best things to do in the city. Of course, "best" is a highly subjective word, and while everyone has their own ideas of what a visitor should experience during his or her stay, I have my own personal favorites. So, without further ado, here are the top ten things you should do on your stay in Seoul:

10. Tap into your artsy side

So let's see...where did I leave off? Ah yes. Bubble tea. Myeongdong. I had plans to meet Yun around 2, so I settled down on a rock...bench...thing in front of the art museum to wait, splitting my time between people watching and reading. The only problem with the choice to read a book is that when he showed up, he was able to scare the living daylights out of me. I now only possess dead daylights. It's a modern tragedy.

Go ride a bike.
