* Korean clothes are usually small for non-Asians. Remember that measurement is key and the measurement in Korea is different from anywhere else, especially shoes. Of course measurements vary so remember clothing is in the imperial system. Free size clothing may not work in America but, in Korea free size does work because women body shapes are generally similar. If you have big hips, be aware of them while shopping for pants. Accessories like rings may be too small for many ladies so look out for the ring sizes as well. Please find your shoe size on this website.

Cheap Cute in Korea at Daiso 다이소

Large 4 floor Daiso in Hongdae! Stores range in size here from 1-4 floors usually.

If you live in Korea you already know very well what Daiso is, and most likely the nearest 5 stores to your home!  For those of you moving to Korea or planning on visiting Korea let me just give you a brief introduction to the giant chain that is Daiso 다이소!

Gmarket Finds!

As I mentioned before, I LOVE Gmarket! I was never at all an internet shopper before I came to Korea, but wow- now I definitely am! I would even say that Gmarket is one of my favourite things about Korea, haha!

This page will list products I’ve found on Gmarket that I use, or I think are a good price.

Outfit Post~ Kira Kitty

♥ ♥  ♥ ♥

Summer is here, so time to bust out the short-shorts and oversize giant t-shirts so big that you swim in them~ this is a popular look here in Seoul.  Around Edae today they had these adorable shirts out on the racks, I love kitties so I could not resist.  The shirt is by a brand here called “Kira” who is a cheap impulse purchase rack brand pretty much, every so often I run into shirts with artwork by this artist~ always really adorable.

1,000 원 Bacon Sushi in Sillim

Today I have a fun little hole in the wall to share with you~ its kinda a popular little place for the young guys in our area to stop by for food!

A Love Letter to Daiso

Dear Daiso,
We've known each other on and off for a few years now.  I stumbled upon you early on in my time in Korea, and since have found myself seeking you out more and more.  When I returned, one of my first inquiries was the distance between us. You were one of my first stops back in Korea and one of the last places I seek out when I make my return trips home.

oh thank heaven, 7 Eleven!

There is no greater sight when your hungry and kinda broke (and quite possibly a little drunk) than the orange and green neon from the brightly lit store you can find one or more of within walking distance, which pretty much has everything you could ever need to survive. They are literally everywhere (probably more of them than pictures of the King!) and are open 24 hours. You really can live off of only 7 eleven in Thailand as it is cheap, they have all kinds of ready made food, microwaves to cook it in and ice cold air con to enjoy during your shopping trip. Being homeless and living on a budget we have spent many hours and eaten many meals at various 7 eleven's around the country (my favorite one so far was in Haad Rin, Koh Phangan - they had popcorn, a toastie assembly line and cute soi puppies outside!) and I thought I should showcase some of the finer points of this fundamental establishment.

home run balls

I thought you could not get more American than baseball but turns out Asia really knows how to do baseball right! A lively crowd, sexy "cheerleader"/dancers, and you can bring in anything you want including fried chicken, beer, and snacks from a convenience store (but you can also buy all that there, for basically the same price as on the outside - no robbery from the stadium trying to get more of your money after you already bought overpriced tickets.)
