Question for Xbox 360 "experts" in Busan...

Quite a while ago, a friend of mine had taken me to a kind of Xbox "bone yard/repair/modding" shop.  The shop was definitely in either Yangjeon or Yeonsan.  The guys at this shop specialize in repair and modification, and it's also a massive scrap heap of old XBox parts.  You'd go in, they'd have two workbenches set up, and you could get a repair or mod done for cheap.  They told me that they provide service to a LOT of military/naval guys and what not.

is this some kind of spam scheme?

I recently wrote a blogpost about the two Korean dancers who died of malaria they contracted while in South Africa.  A few hours later, I see my content is up on another blog without attribution or links. The post had all my links stripped away and a few new ones added in a strange way.  The word "health" was somewhat randomly inserted into the post several times with links to elsewhere in the same blog.  A few words were also changed.  My post had apparently been copied and then pasted twice into the new post.

Computer fixing help!

Hi everyone,

My computer crashed last week and I have had so much trouble trying to find a place to fix it and/or get my data back.

Does anyone know of a good place, or a friend who is good with computers in Busan?  I am willing to pay for the service.

Its a 2005 Mac Power Book.

I really want my files back, if you can help at all please email me: [email protected]

THANK YOU!

Used Camera

I'm looking to buy a Canon Rebel EOS XS. I've seen many camera shops around Nampodong, but I want a deal. Does anyone know of used camera shops around that may sell this camera for under $400. Or maybe somewhere online that will be easy to ship to Korea?

Ideas welcome! :)

Buying Used phones

I have a contract with LG, but made the mistake of simply taking a friends phone when she left instead of getting a nice new one when I signed my contract!

Now I'm looking for a  used LG phone ( in good condition and not to old preferably) so I can load my contract on another phone. If any one has any idea where I can buy used phones (in Busan), please let me know! Thanks!

DVD Specialist

Does anyone know of a tech store that can unlock a dvd player to be region-free? I can bring a Korean friend with me to help explain, but unfortunately I purchased a model that can't be unlocked with its remote.

Which phone companies have the best deals for contracts?

Hello all, I've just arrived for a second time to Busan and plan to stay for about 2 years. So, I'm looking into getting a mobile phone and would like to explore signing a contract instead going with the pre-paid services. In my previous time in Korea I just opted to go with a pre-paid phone and could pull off spending just a little over 20,000 a month when you averaged it all out. (Mind you that it was only texting I was doing, never any calls) I don't make a lot of calls or send a boatload of texts. I probably only use my phone a moderate to low amount for both texts and calls.
