I need a cell phone for 7 months

I just arrived for a 4-month student exchange, but will be staying in Korea for 7 months total. Tonight I went with some Korean friends to a cell phone shop and was told that because I am an exchange student (on a D2 visa), I can't get a cell phone even when I do get my alien registration card.

I am wondering if there is somewhere I can buy a used phone (I only need something simple) and then do pay-as-you-go?

Thanks!

Beware of Phishing!

Be aware of phishing on this site. If you've been contacted by "Sammy Fishers," don't send him money. He is a confirmed fisher.

He'll ask that you and he do a transaction through Paypal, and then he'll send you a highly professional "Paypal" email saying that he has deposited the value of your item plus extra to pay for delivery, but that the money is being held until you send money to the delivery service via Western Union, and you provide the MTCN number. If you sent to the delivery service, he's won.

If Sammy Fishers got you, or tried to get you, let me know.

Cell Phone Questions

Hi everyone.

So I'm planning on buying a smartphone from SK wireless. My budget is around 500,000W. I have an E-2 visa, so I can't pay the smartphone off every month. I have to buy the phone all at once.

My questions: What is the best phone I can get right now at a 500,000W budget? How would it compare to a Galaxy S 2 at 845,000W?

I have looked at olleh and LG, but LG wants a 200,000W deposit, and olleh does not give E-2 foreigners cell phones.

Best regards,

Harrison

Korean Baseball - Live Internet Streaming

If you are a fan of the Lotte Giants or just Korean baseball in general and either, like me, decided you don't need a TV or haven't subscribed to the full cable package, you can now get live streaming baseball on your computer without having to go through any complicated sign-up for membership stuff that so many sites have.
